Started knitting up this winters mittens. These are Beetville Thrummed Mittens.
The Beetvilles are made with Mineville 100% wool for the outer shell. The thrum is made with 100% Merino Roving. They almost melt in your hands. Which is fabulous to have your hand surrounded in but it is a little tricky to knit on 4 needles because of its slippery texture.
It was well worth the effort. Only problem is I am finding it hard to put them up for sale at the fairs because of the quality and luxurious warmth.
These are as stated on the picture lightly thrummed for those cool evenings, trips in the car till car is heated or just having that touch of class to your outfit while you are out. The fall winds may be blowing out side but knitting these does give me a sense of warmth.
Some days you go for a drive just to catch a glimpse of the foliage and whatever appears before you.
On all pictures of mittens you will see measurements. This picture is the key to those measurements. I find it easier for reference of each pair of mitts I knit. people ask about the sizes etc. and I find this to be a great tool.
